Our web-site will serve as a great resource.  Anytime you have questions about upcoming events, tests, homework, or you just need an additional copy of a newsletter, this is the place to look.  If the web-page does not answer your questions or concerns, just email me.   (  I try to check my email every morning and after bus call in the evening.
Please check your child’s agenda book daily.  Students will write homework assignments, upcoming events, and spelling words in their agenda book. Also, please try and sign the agenda book nightly.
This year in 3rd grade students will have Math homework Monday-Thursday.  Students will also have a weekly Reading Assignment.  The reading assignment will go home with the newsletter on Friday and will not be due until the following Friday.
Completing homework assignments are extremely important and will count towards a grade.
Also please make sure that your child comes to class prepared. Students should always have pencils, crayons, scissors, and glue.  Students will write homework assignments in agenda book each day.
Students will switch class twice a day. The first switch will occur at 10:20 a.m.  At this time students will travel to Mrs. Cox for Language Arts/Writing.  The second switch will occur after lunch/recess at 12:30 a.m.  At this time students will go to Mrs. Newland for Math.

Every Thursday students will be given a vocabulary test over our weekly reading story.  Students will receive a vocabulary study guide attached to our weekly newsletter. Please practice these words and their definitions with your child.

Spelling tests will be on Friday. Throughout the week we will review the spelling words in class, however most of the students’ spelling practice will need to be at home. I will make every effort possible to have the spelling test graded and returned by Friday afternoon.
