WELCOME BACK to the 2016-17 School Year!!! 
 
 
We are going to have a SUPER year in 3rd grade!!  I am so very excited to get to know each and every SUPERHERO in my class this year.  You will be gaining many new SUPER POWERS throughout the year as you learn new concepts and build on old ones. 
 
 
This website is a way to stay updated about what's going on in the classroom.  Please check in frequently to be informed of classroom news, upcoming events, and pictures.  If you have any questions you may contact me at kimberly.newland@ greenup.kyschools.us.
 
Third grade students are expected to have multiplication facts mastered by the end of the year.  Please begin to study multiplication facts at home. 
 
**Important announcements are also sent via Remind.  If you have not joined my class, please do so by using the class code @6dk4c

BONUS POINTS: Your child can earn bonus points the 3rd nine weeks for completing the following math lessons on Study Island and earning a blue ribbon.  (More lessons to come-Keep watching!!)

AGENDA BOOK:
Please check and sign your child’s agenda book daily.  Students will write homework assignments, upcoming events, and spelling words in their agenda book.
 
SWITCHING CLASSES:
Students who are in my homeroom will rotate between 3 third grade teachers. Students will travel to Ms. Gullett's classroom for Reading, Mrs. Cox's classroom for Writing and will have myself for Math.

Reading Homework

Every Friday, students will have Reading homework that is attached to their newsletter.  They are to return their homework by the following Friday.
Please refer to Ms. Gullett's webpage to see what your child's reading homework is this week!! 

Math Homework

Math Homework Monday-Thursday unless otherwise noted.  Please refer to your child's agenda book for more information.
