Adkins

This is the first year in my second stint at Greenup County High School. I taught here 15 years ago. I have taught at Russell, Lawrence, and Fairview in the past also.

I was raised outside of Flatwoods and graduated from Russell in 1974. I went off to UK and earned a degree in science that I did not use. Went to work at the Raceland Car Shops until a massive layoff. I then worked in construction and drove a truck until I began a career with Ashland Oil. I worked there 20 years before I went back to school and earned a math degree form Ohio U. and then a Masters from Morehead. I was saved by the blood of Jesus Christ in 2002 and have spent my time since then trying to serve him.

When I am not in school or coaching I spend my time in church or on a tractor or horse. I have coached a total of 31 seasons in volleyball, softball, basketball, and archery. I am very happy to be back at GCHS and to see how much it has improved in all areas since I taught here last.
