Steve A. Hall began his tenure as superintendent in August 2010. “I’m honored and humbled and want to thank the Board of Education for its vote of confidence,” Mr. Hall stated after the announcement was made.
Mr. Hall plans to institute a shared vision for the district that includes input from community, staff, parents and students. “The common goal will always be what’s best for the kids,” Mr. Hall said. “The Greenup County School District will be student-focused in our decision making –all decisions will be driven by data to provide the best outcomes for students. It’s about getting results while building a culture that embraces continuous improvement.” Mr. Hall also stated that “curriculum, instruction and assessment will be points of conversation.”
Mr. Hall’s career in education spans 33 years and includes experience in the classroom, as a principal at the elementary and middle school levels, and as federal programs director in the Greenup County School District.
Steve has two children, Trevor and Taylor.
