Brooke Skeenes, RN - Instructor
The Allied Health program provides several classes which will prepare students interested in any medical field. Classes include Medical Terminology, Principles of Health Science, Anatomy, and certification for Phlebotomy. Allied Health is a general, undifferentiated, or joint program in health services occupations that prepare individuals for either entry into specialized training programs or for a variety of concentrations in the allied health area. Includes instruction in the basic sciences, research and clinical procedures, and aspects of the subject matter related to various health occupations.
Allied Health and Health Science will be working together to provide a duel accreditation consisting of a certification in Medicaid Nursing Assistant and a certification in Phlebotomy. Students will start in one of the two classes at the beginning of the year and then will switch after Christmas break. Our hope is to provide students with multiple opportunities so that they may be successful after completion of high school.
