RI/L.7.1 - Inferences

Inferences - Drawing Conclusions

Making inferences sounds like a big scary task, but it is really just making an educated guess.  You take what you know from your own life's experiences and pair it with what observe or read, and you come to a conclusion.  Simple, right?
Inference:  A logical conclusion made from evidence and reasoning.
Fallacy:  An incorrect conclusion, especially one based on unsound reasoning.
Take a look at the following videos to help you understand what it means to make an inference; and as always, don't forget to practice your inference skills using the games and practice activities on our classroom Symbaloo!
