Three GCSD Teachers Receive Excellence in Teaching Award
Mitzi Lanning, kindergarten teacher at Greysbranch Elementary School; Kenton Horsley, social studies teacher at McKell Middle School and Ashley Smith, special education teacher at Greenup County High School received 2017 Excellence in Teaching Awards.
The award recognizes quality teachers in the state of Kentucky who inspire all teachers to excel. Criteria for the award includes energy and enthusiasm for teaching; using a variety of methods for effective instruction; applying imagination and originality in meeting students’ needs; and helping other to gain professional competence.

Free Sports Physicals
KDMC will be at GCHS on Friday, June 2nd from 8:00-11:30 to provide FREE SPORTS PHYSICALS for 7th – 12th grade students.

Students MUST bring a current KHSAA form completely filled out and signed prior to physical. Forms are available on the GCSD website, in the GCHS office, or via Amy Crum or your coach.

Physicals on this date will cover athletes for the entire 2017-2018 school season!
