Dear Parents/Guardians,
I would like to thank you for getting your beginning of the year packets in so quickly.  Everyone in our class received a giant popscicle.  We each lunch at 10:55 each day and welcome you to eat lunch with your child.  We do ask that you give us notice so that the ladies in the cafeteria can prepare for you eating lunch with us.  I have a planning period at 8:15-8:55 each day.  This would be a good time to call(932-3383) if you have any questions because I will be free to speak with you.  This is also a good time to meet if you need to meet with me for any reason.  You can also reach me through e-mail or a note .  I check my e-mail daily and will respond to you in a timely manner.  My e-mail address is .

Dear Parents,

Along with our weekly spelling test we will begin having sentence homework.  Students will be responsible for writing 5 sentences for homework.  They may choose any 5 of the ten words for their spelling sentences.  The spelling list along with writing paper will go home on Mondays.  Spelling sentences are due on Thursdays.  Try to help your child write a variety of sentences.  There should be at least one asking, one telling and one strong feeling (. ? !).  Also stress that sentences begin with capital letters and end with punctuation marks.  Have your child read them back to you to see if they make sense.  Please have your child number their sentences and underline spelling words.
