Mrs. Pemberton's Art Class

About Mrs. Pemberton
This my 6th year teaching visual art in the Greenup County School District.  I attended Ashland Community and Technical College where I received my Associate degree in Art and in Science. I then went on to Morehead State University where I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I am a member of NAEA (National Art Education Association and an online community for educators through Crayola.  Every year I participate in "Learnshops" in Berea, Kentucky.  These are hands-on classes and what I learn there I take to the classroom. I have taken classes in pottery, glassblowing, mosaic glass, basket weaving, printmaking, and watercolor.

My hobbies outside of school are gardening, antiquing, reading, photography, traveling, collecting folk art and pottery, and spending time with my husband Nick, our daughter Natalee, and our Scottish Terrier Winston.
I think being an Art Teacher is the best job in the world (besides being a Mommy)!  It is very rewarding to see my student's reach new heights.  In my classroom, I am always looking for student's that are doing their best and trying new things!
