The Gold Standard in Education; The Foundation of Our Community.

NTI UPdate - March 25, 2020

Q: When will students return to school?

A: The Greenup County School District will continue with NTI instruction through Friday, April 17th. The timeline may be extended depending on further recommendations from the Governor and health experts. Spring Break is still scheduled for April 6-10.

Q: When can I turn in completed work and pick up additional work for my child?

A: Each school is working to get new paper packets ready for students who need them. If your child is working exclusively online, that process will not change.

Our schools will offer “drive-thru” pick up and delivery service for paper packets on Monday, March 30 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM and again from 4:00-7:00 PM. A staff person will meet your car and exchange packets. Be sure your child’s first and last name is on the packet! If you cannot come on Monday, please contact your child’s school to make other arrangements.

Q: I have a way to access the internet, but service is not provided or is spotty in my area. Are there other options?

A: Yes. We have created “Wi-Fi hot spots” around our schools. Feel free to park and use our internet access. The same policies apply regarding acceptable use. Here’s where to go:

=         AES – Excellent in circle near building

=         GES – Excellent next to building from GES sign to the office and outside FRYSC

=         MES – Excellent along front of school from office to gym

=         WES – Excellent signal from principal’s office to the end of the building (entrance N)

=         MMS – Very good signal from gym, past office and including teacher parking lot.

=         WMS – Very good from gym to office on Center Street side. Excellent around office. Very good along Old 23 side to end of building.

=         GCHS – Good (2 bars) from GCHS main entrance to ATC entrance
