These records are retained a minimum of 5 years and are available
to the student age 18 or above. If the
parent has the student’s written consent, a court order or proof that the
student is dependent student as defined in Section 152 of the Internal Revenue
Code of 1954, they may have disclosure of the educational records.
Files will be destroyed by January 1, 2019 unless requested before December 1, 2018. Students who have graduated from or attended the Greenup County School District prior to and including 2013 may call the Special Education Department (606) 473-7936 between 9:30 am to 2:00 pm to request the records. The files will then be available for pick up in the Special Education Department at Greenup County Board of Education, 45 Musketeer Dr., Greenup, KY 41144.
