Ms. Moresea agreed to accept the challenge, “I’m excited to take on this responsibility. We deal with the most precious resource anywhere – kids. We, the Board, staff, students and community, need to continually work together to make Greenup County the best place to learn and grow.”
Ms. Moresea plans a student-driven approach to every aspect of decision making at the central office and in the schools. Her approach is simple: “If it’s not in the best interest of students, we don’t do it. We will continue our focus on high quality instruction, measurement of goals and activities and building trust and collaboration within the district and the community. I want each student to have their personal strengths highlighted and a pathway for personal success to be provided.”
Ms. Moresea brings 20 years of educational experience to the helm of Greenup County Schools. Traysea received a Bachelor of Arts in Education, a Masters in Educational Leadership, and certification as Instructional Supervisor, Grades PK-12, all from Marshall University. She completed her certification work for Superintendent at Eastern Kentucky University. She has worked in the Greenup County School District since 2014.
Traysea is married to Matt Moresea, a teacher in the Ashland Independent School District. They have two children, Maria, a student at Wurtland Middle School and Max, a student at Greysbranch Elementary School.
