CHRISTMAS DRAMA PERFORMANCES
This year, we're very excited to share that our Wurtland WildCast is preparing two performances for the holiday season! Please join us on Wednesday, December 18, at 1:00 p.m. as our students perform.
"The Gingerbread Dude"
When Santa Claus's Christmas Eve snack escapes the oven, the chase is on! With one sassy cookie and a narrator who keeps getting carried away, this Christmas play brings a gingerbread-man twist that everyone is certain to enjoy!
"A Christmas Idol"
In this play, Santa decides he is ready to hand his duties to someone else. While everyone disapproves, a panel of judges decide to interview contestants who might be fit for the job. Who will be the next Santa Claus?!
WURTLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL THANKFULS: JUDE IMEL
Jude Imel shares that he is thankful for Mrs. Long. Jude notes that Mrs. Long "is caring and thoughtful". He adds, "If we need, we can come and talk to her. That's why she does mental health checks with us." We are glad that Jude has someone like Mrs. Long who has an ear to listen! We are thankful for her, too!

SHADOW THE WILDCAT WAY DAY
Today was our first Shadow the Wildcat Way Day! We had a great group of individuals with us today who can now share our story!
While, with the busyness of the day, we only captured a few pictures of a few of our teams, we truly cannot express enough gratitude to those who joined us today!
We've said it before; we're saying it again; and we'll continue to say it: IT'S A GREAT DAY TO BE A WILDCAT!

Dawni is THANKFUL this holiday season! Dawni shares that she is very thankful for her choral director, Mrs. Andrea Daniels! She loves the humor that Mrs. Daniels brings to class. Joshua is THANKFUL this holiday season! Joshua shares that he is very thankful for first responders who recently rushed to help his grandmother. He shares, "My mamaw is now home from the hospital, so I am grateful for them." We are so appreciative that Joshua recognizes the amazing contributions of first responders in our community.

HOT CHOCOLATE BAR ATTENDANCE INCENTIVE
Students who have perfect attendance throughout the month of December will be treated to a hot chocolate bar on Friday, December 20. Make sure that you are present, so you can participate!
CULTURE AND CLIMATE COMMITTEE
Mrs. Ciera Vanover worked to organize a student-based Culture and Climate Committee within our building. Last week, Principal Brandi Litteral, Assistant Principal Melissa Bowling, Guidance Counselor Jujuana Hieneman, and Mrs. Ciera Vanover met with the group. Students were selected to serve on the committee by their teachers. Students from each grade represented their peers to discuss "what is working" and "areas for improvement". They provided serious and meaningful feedback.

THANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE
If you are able, we would love for you to contribute to our Wurtland Middle School food drive. All donations can be brought to the middle school. If you are unable to get donations to the building, please contact us, and we will make arrangements to come and get them.

COLLEAGUE CREDIT
Mr. Nick Yancey shares that Mr. Doran consistently goes above and beyond to help the students of Wurtland Middle School. He makes himself readily available to meet the needs of students. Mr. Doran recently volunteered to make clay tablets for Mr. Yancey's sixth-grade history class to carve cuneiform signatures. Thank you for all you do, Mr. Doran!
WILDCAT OF THE WEEK
Mr. Scott Bowling shares that Levi has been working very hard in science class! Keep up the great work, Levi! We are so proud of you!
WE'RE GOING ON A FIELD TRIP!
