WHY WURTLAND? AWARD-WINNING STRINGS PROGRAM Did you know that Wurtland Middle School offers an award-winning strings program that is changing the lives of our students each day? This program is unlike any in our area, and students love it! Eli Williams, a sixth-grade student, shares how much he has improved throughout the year. Eli states, "At the beginning, it was very hard for me. You need time to learn notes and get your posture right. If your posture isn't right, you can't play the instrument as well." Luckily, our students are committed to working hard. He adds, "It definitely has pushed me and is inspiring. Whenever you learn how to play, it sounds awesome! Sometimes, it gives me a relief from stress." Why Wurtland? It's in the innovations of our teachers and students to be better each day!
