This week is also FRYSC Week. MMS wants to thank Ms. Michelle for everything she does to help our kids! We appreciate you!!

MMS wants to give a huge shout out to City National Bank in South Shore. They have donated an abundance of hygiene supplies to our FYRSC. Partnering with the community is essential.

Our first yield of lettuce from our hydroponics grow system has been sent to the cafeteria to serve to students tomorrow! The MMS Agriculture class took the steps needed to grow crops and produce this great yield! It doesn't get fresher than this!

National School Counseling and School Counselor Week is Feb. 5-9. MMS has the best counselor in the business. Mrs. Zaph is always ready to help both the students and the staff at a moments notice. THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING YOU DO!! #BulldogPride

The 7th and 8th grade boys basketball teams have advanced to the 2nd round of the OVC Basketball Tournament.

Mrs. Donini’s Financial Literacy class has learned how to write checks, balance a check book, figure tax out on goods and sign their name for future purchases and contracts! Real life scenarios are a great way to learn and practice for the future.

21st Century Breakfast Club!
Nathan was one of the top-scoring 6th graders on Clevercrazes.com and Preston was top-scoring 7th grader. This is a learning games program students work during 21C breakfast club.
You know our kids love learning when they come before school starts!

Pack’s theatre students started the new semester by playing the Martha Game, an improv game. (No one knows who Martha is or how the game got its name.)
The object: a player runs onstage, announces what they are (a tree, for instance), and freezes. The next player must run on and add to that scene (as a bench by the tree, for instance). Each player adds a new element to the scene, and all actors freeze in place. When then director calls “Action!”, the players unfreeze and act out whatever scene they have created until the director calls cut.

In celebration of Valentine's Day and as an act of kindness Mrs. Fraley's Science classes will be collecting items to donate to the Ronald McDonald House in Huntington, WV.
Many are familiar with the Ronald McDonald House through time spent there by families or people close to them. It provides such a benefit to families when they have to access medical care for their children either at St. Mary's or Cabell Hospitals helping to relieve stress and financial burdens.
Anyone is welcome to donate! Please bring all donations to Mrs. Fraley by February 12!
