To commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month the MMS staff and students formed a human ribbon. We want to dedicate our efforts, Barb Coleman, who is a breast cancer survivor. We also want to thank AEP/Kentucky Power employees; James Maddix, Cody Ison, and Levi Howard.

As part of Safe Schools Week, 10/19 is SAVE day (students against violence everywhere).Our S.O.S. team decorated lockers and windows with ribbons. There is 1 orange ribbon for every 3 purple, the orange representing the 1 in4 students who will experience violence in their life.
McKell Middle began CTE courses this year, one of these is called EdRising. Students at the middle school level learn about education and becoming an educator. During our high school program we hope to have educators to bring back to our community. #believeinGC #mmswebelieve
