Our team started traveling roads at 3 am to make this tough decision. We were hopeful the forecast would be incorrect because we prefer seeing our students in school. For safety, we must close. Please stay safe today as the accumulations are predicted to increase. #BelieveInGC

We want thank Mrs. Fraley and the help of our students for donating this amazing amount of goods. Being able to donate this amount of goods will help restock many items needed. The Ronald McDonald House help families stay close to their child when they need treatment for a serious medical condition. They provide a home-like setting, close to the region's top hospitals, where families can stay free-of charge for as long as necessary. Our donations will be going to the Huntington, WV Ronald McDonald House.

Today is School Resource Officer Appreciation Day! Thank you Officer Hambrick for helping to make both McKell Middle and McKell Elementary a safe place for our students.

Issue #2 of the Bulldog Beacon for 2025. Student reported news to the people of the Bulldog and Musketeer community.

February marks Black History Month, an annual celebration of achievements by African Americans and a time for recognizing their central role in U.S. history. Also known as African American History Month, the event grew from advocacy from historian Carter G. Woodson and other prominent African Americans. Since 1976, every U.S. president has officially designated the month of February as Black History Month.
