
Mr. Baldridge’s 2nd Grade class celebrated the end of their Charlotte’s Web novel study today with a party! They enjoyed Charlotte’s eggs, Wilbur’s Brew and Wilbur cupcakes. They also completed a spider balloonists STEM challenge.











WES 2nd graders went on their end of the year field trip on Thursday, May 18 to Boyd Co Library & Malibu Jacks. Students were able to participate in a STEM robot operating game at the library and then enjoyed games and pizza at Malibu Jacks.

WES 5th Graders enjoyed a Texas Roadhouse lunch with funds earned from the Warrior Cafe and Snack Cart! 5th Grade Breakfast was celebrated at Golden Corral this morning.






Good morning Wurtland families! WES will be hosting a dance on Friday, May 12th, after school until 5:00. Admission will be $5.00 and will include pizza, chips and a drink. Please return the permission slip that was sent home if your child has permission to stay for the dance. Thank you!


WES is hosting a Mothers & Others Tea Party Monday, May 15th and we would love for you to attend with your student. An invitation will be sent home today. Event times correlate to the class teacher your child has this year. We look forward to celebrating you!


Mrs. Mary's class took a field trip last week and learned all about life on the farm, taking care of animals, and even got to ride a horse! It was a great time for our Warriors!











WES 1st Grade/ Academic Team Field Trip to Newport Aquarium was a big splash! From petting sea anemones and manta rays, to walking the shark bridge, the students soaked up sea life facts like sponges and had a blast!











Congratulations to Sarah Miller and Amber Pierce for being elected as parent representatives on the WES Site Based Decision Making Council for 2023-2024. Thank you to all of the parents for voting!

Zoodles visited WES today to teach us about their amazing creatures. From tortoises to snakes, we learned so many really neat facts and the students loved it!






WES 3rd graders held a class party to celebrate finishing their novel study, Because of Winn Dixie!







WES 2nd graders have been learning how to collect data and create graphs. For this activity, they learned about bar graphs using M&M’s. Talk about a SWEET way to learn!







Zoodles will be visiting WES this Friday. If you would like to purchase a picture of your child holding an animal, the permission slip must be signed by a guardian with $10.00 returned by Friday by 9:30 a.m.

WES 4th and 5th graders participated in NASP Basic Archery safety classes and finalized the training by following the whistle commands to safely use the bow and arrows on the firing line!

4th graders at WES are learning how energy transfers from one object to the next and then applying that knowledge by building roller coasters! Talk about a fun way to learn!
