The WES book-fair will be open until 10:00 a.m. tomorrow. Your child may bring money to shop the fair one last time before it closes until next Fall. Thank you for supporting the fair and our school!
Due to inclement weather forecasted tomorrow, our Career Day and dress up day will be postponed, instead we will celebrate the day before spring break with a pajama day!
WES EASTER EGG HUNTS will take place Thursday, March 30th. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will be available during Family Night from 4:30-6:30 that same day!
BOOKFAIR IS HERE! Monday, students shop the Book Fair during specials classes. Book Fair will be open through the week and for Family Night on 3/30 as well! If you want to create an eWallet for your child, it will make their buying experience easy!

We've been celebrating Read Across America- Week 2: Reading Takes You Out of This World! Our students completed a school wide activity of creating star constellations with pretzels and marshmallows and then finished out the week with a space themed dress up day!
Next week's theme is: Reading Takes You Into a Land of Imagination. Dress up day will be Thursday! Keep encouraging your child to read 15 minutes each day to get a reading reward.
Next week we celebrate Read Across America Week 2: Out of this World! Due to NTI today, Monday will be our Into the Wild Celebration Week 1- dress up day (camo / animal print) and Friday we will dress up and celebrate our space theme! Don't forget today's 15 minute reading for the reading log to finish out this week!

WES students celebrate American Heart Month ❤️ by learning and doing a yoga flow and reading Calm Ninja, an SEL story by Mary Nhin. Thank you to yoga instructor Kristen Matthews of Appalachian Folkology for collaborating with us on this heart healthy adventure!

It's Almost Time for SPIRIT NIGHT!
Spirit Week is Coming! Get ready to show your true colors, Musketeers! Sept 19 - Red, White & Blue Day. Let's celebrate Team USA! Please no political affiliated gear - we're all UNITED as Americans and Musketeers! Sept 20 - Tie Dye Tuesday. Show your groovy Musketeer spirit! Sept 21 - Jersey/Team Day. Rep your favorite team - GCHS, UK, EKU, etc. Let's see that team spirit! Sept 22 - School Colors Day, plus the return of SPIRIT NIGHT! We'll see you at Spirit Night with the parade at 5:00, followed by games, crafts, and much more at GCHS! Sept 23 - Camo Day or Green, Black & Gold Day. Whichever you choose, be sure to join us for the homecoming game against Raceland. Kickoff at 7:30.
