Eighth grade science
Eighth grade science students are wrapping up a unit on the history of the earth. During this unit students completed a diorama of the Mesozoic Era and a puzzle of the geologic time scale. They completed these in their extra time earned away from text lessons. Special thanks to Kadence Wheeler and her contribution of a volcano made from clay to add to the diorama.

Mrs. Fraley’s Human Anatomy CTE course completed studies of human body systems throughout the nine weeks. As a culminating activity for the term students dissected fetal pig specimens. They did an excellent job and were able to correctly identify body parts for their grade. Students were surprised to find out they didn’t have a smell

Now at McKell Middle, we have Caring Mailboxes placed throughout the school. Students are able to place notecards in them which have pre-printed cards stating what they or a friend may need. Each day a trusted adult will pull the cards and give them to the selected adults in which the cards are addressed to.
